Happy 1st week of Spring! Being from Ohio, I'm hoping that the weather gets the memo soon enough, and the weather gets a little more on the balmy side instead of this constant snow and rain. I want to finally be able to sit outside and get some vitamin D and maybe hang out with a book. In honor of the first week of spring, here are some free ways to celebrate the new season and kick winter to the curb.
- Go for a walk! Spring is the perfect time to find parks and trails in your community to explore. I always feel way better after a long walk outdoors and my spirits are lifted.
2.Get out your camera and capture the seasons changing! You don't need a fancy camera to go take some awesome photos, just charge up your phone and get to work.
3. Take your favorite book outside! Not going to lie, I couldn't resist how silly this photo is (I'd be in the water, the book and outfit ruined) but reading outdoors is seriously the best. The sun warming your skin, listening to the birds, its seriously heavenly.
4. Try geocaching! If you aren't familiar, geocaching is an activity where you use a GPS to find hidden boxes outdoors. Think of it like present day treasure hunting. If you're feeling especially kind, you can bring a bag to pick up litter you find along the way. Leave the trails more beautiful than you found them!
While the weather continues to be horribly bipolar, I really hope that in the next few weeks I'll be able to get outside and do all four of these with my family. I'm seriously sick of being indoors and am ready to get some exploration in.
