Kat Von D Pastel Goth First Impressions and Review

I can't say that I've been a long time fan of Kat Von D Cosmetics, and never really thought to pick up any of her products until pretty recently. I tried out some of her liquid lips (review coming soon!) and literally fell head over heels for her formulations. On top of that, all her packaging on her products is super adorable, and I've really fallen in love with it all.

When I saw that she was coming out with a pastel themed palette I HAD to have it. I don't have any shadows that are pastel in the least, so this palette looked super unique and a welcome change from my typical natural tones I wear on my eyes.

I headed to Sephora the day it was scheduled to be released, and was disappointed that it wasn't in stock. I had to wait a few weeks for it to be at my location, but I was super excited when it finally made it to the store. I grabbed the last palette they had that day and was super excited to finally take it home with me.

I am an absolute sucker when it comes to well designed and high quality packaging. Whomever designed this palette, congrats, it's gorgeous. The colors and the font are all perfect and really on point with the rest of the brand.

I've never really worked with Kat's shadows but these shadows are amazing. They're incredibly buttery and blend beautifully. I'd compare the formula to Anastasia's, they feel and blend almost exactly like hers. I really like that this entire palette is matte, because I feel like all the palettes that are popular right now have a ton of shimmer and glitters (which I love) but having some solid matte shadows in fun shades was something that my kit was seriously needing.

Have a great week!
